Mas bem, parei de escrever as minhas fics em português e passei a escrevê-las em inglês, mas bem, a Mariana disse que eu podia postar na mesma, por isso aqui está.

It was supposed to be just another job.
Lya is part of the dying Blood Moon Society, a group tasked with sating the hidden vampire’s society’s needs during the Blood Moon.
She gives the vampires everything they need during that week, but she is also training on various ways to kill them if they get too out of control.
It was supposed to be just a week.
Her job should be easy, get in their hideout, sate their needs and get out after seven days.
She never imagined they would want to keep her, and she would never have guessed the lengths they would go to make sure she wouldn’t be able to leave.
Blood bonds are rare, usually used to bind a human mate to its vampire counterpart.
Using an ancient spell, they bound her to them, she would die if she left them for more than a day. The bound can’t be broken without all the parts consent and one thing Lya knows about them is that they will never let her go.
____________There was still light in the sky when Lya arrived at the address of her new job, the imposing structure looking creepier as the sun went into hiding. The windows weren’t covered, but she could bet that the glass was made so the sunlight entered, but the UV rays that were deadly to vampires got reflected by the surface. They still wouldn’t be able to leave the house or have anything open during the day hours, but they were able to see the sun instead of having to live in the darkness. She quickly paid the taxi driver, thanking the man for taking her suitcases out of the trunk and let him drive away. The brunette kept staring at the three story house, her aqua eyes going from the slanted dark blue roof to the light blue walls, the window frames were the same blue as the roof. The shadows cast by both darkened the house, making it seem right out of a horror movie, even if it was in pristine condition. Tall iron fences finished the picture, making her wonder if they would follow all the horror clichés inside the house too. When the night finished rolling in, she started walking to the front door, noticing how the street lights in front of the house didn’t turn on.At least they didn’t flicker on and off, she thought to herself, snickering at the cliché every single horror movie seemed to follow.Lya knocked on the door, just to keep everything a bit formal, she knew that they were already aware of her arrival and watching her like the predators they were. Biding their time to reveal themselves to her, most likely one at a time, overwhelm her with their presence and only then feed from her. When no one opened the door, she let herself in, noting that the door was unlocked. The inside was dark and silent, still retaining the creepy horror movie vibe, it still was real life, so she turned the light on, surprised at the modern interior of the house. The walls of the hall were painted white, a coat hanger stood to her right and she took of her jacket carefully and hanged it.The first door to the right was the kitchen and that’s where she went next, turning the light on and opening one of her bags. The groceries she had bought for the week filling the space, luckily they had a fridge, but it wasn’t connected to the power. Lya sighed and plugged it in, deciding to go over the file they had given her while the fridge cooled off. There wasn’t much information about the vampires themselves, considering this was the first time they called the Blood Moon Society. Lya sighed a bit when she saw the number of vampires she would have to sate again, five, they actually wanted just one girl to help five vampires control their urges on the blood moon week.Three she could handle with ease, four would be straining, five would be enough to get her bed ridden for a week or two after the job was done. Lya scanned the rest of the file, huffing at the lack of photos or any important details like the actual age of the vampires or if they were part of any of the different casts.Actually knowing if her clients had any kind of special powers would help her if they got out of control and she had to either restrain or kill them. She paused, actually, the lack of detail did tell her that at least one of them must belong to one of the higher casts.Lya bit her lip, there were only four higher casts, one of them didn’t even bother to call the Blood Moon Society, that left only three casts. Vertos could change into a nocturnal animal of their choice, they had been the reason the myth about vampires turning into bats had begun. Praecantatio, the sorcerers, they were the only ones who could cast magic without having to resort to any incantations or special items. The last cast was the Animus, they could control people’s emotions and sometimes even the people themselves, although most of them only focused on one emotion. She didn’t even know which one would be the best to have as an out of control vampire, not that she was counting with one of them losing control during the Blood Moon. Or at least she hoped they wouldn’t, she was only one girl and they were five soon to be blood hungry vampires.“I could have already drained you if I wanted to.” Lya gasped, turning around quickly, trying to look for the source of the voice, but there wasn’t anyone behind her. She rolled her eyes and turned, already expecting the presence seated in front of her, the folder about them on his hands. “Too slow, love.”The man sent her a smile, his eyes quickly scanning over the information “Aww, not that much information about us, I guess.”Taking a deep breath, she crossed her arms and shrugged “My job here isn’t knowing you, it’s making sure you get sated during the Blood Moon.”His green eyes twinkled, the red already seeping into his iris, his fangs lengthening and becoming deadlier. “A small thing like you? Do you even have enough blood?”Lya chuckled “Worry not,” She paused “Curly. I just need two hours between each feeding and if you can control it, just three of you feeding each time.”He raised an eyebrow “Just two hours?” disbelief coated his voice, the brunette just nodded. He waited for her to elaborate on her answer, but when none came, he pointed at her grocery full suitcase. “We actually prepared for your arrival.”“The fridge was empty and unplugged.”He smirked “The house is just for show, we don’t actually live here.”Lya looked at him surprised, the vampire just chuckled “You really thought we would be stupid enough to live above ground? Let a vampire hunter come here and just blow a hole on the wall and kill us?”He had a point “But a three story house? You could have bought a smaller one.”The vampire shrugged “Eh, we liked this one better.”“Waste of money if you ask me.” She muttered, making him chuckle in amusement. Getting up, she walked to her suitcases, closing the one with the groceries before looking at the curly haired vampire “Where to?”He picked the other suitcase and smiled at her, “Just follow me, we want to talk to you before we have trouble controlling ourselves.”Lya just nodded, following him through the house, taking the time to watch him. He was tall, with dark brown hair and slightly tanned skin. She could see random tattoos on his arms and the brunette guessed that he had others on his body. His outfit was simple, just a pair of sweat pants and a random t-shirt, his feet bare. She chuckled a bit, he was most likely on his pajamas, it was early for them, even if the Blood Moon was up, most vampires only got up one or two hours after the night fell. They entered on the space underneath the stairs, and Lya almost fell down the stairs when the blood drinker forgot to turn the light on, darkness blinding her. Strong arms prevented her from falling, but the same couldn’t be said about her suitcase, the sound of it rolling down the stairs was loud and she winced at her carelessness.“Fuck, Harry, next time be more careful!” her savior admonished, letting her go on one of the steps while who she guessed was Harry turned the light on. “She can’t see in the dark like we can.”“Sorry, I’m not used to human guests.” So the vampire that had greeted her upstairs was Harry, Lya turned to the one who had prevented her from falling, smiling at him.“Thanks for the help.” His brown eyes went to her and he grinned, making his way downstairs with her.“It’s alright, we should have known that Harry would mess up.” He teased his friend, making her chuckle while Harry huffed in disagreement.“Next time leave your fucking room and go yourself.” He sniffed in disdain, his green eyes told another story, though, laughter twinkling on its depths.Zayn rolled his eyes “Whatever, Curly.” He turned to her “Would you like to go to your room first or the kitchen?”“Show her the room, I’m going to see if we have space in the fridge for the stuff she brought.” Harry suggested before mumbling so low she almost didn’t pick it, even being next to him “Doubt it. Liam and Niall went crazy with the grocery shopping.”If she had been surprised by the fact that they had thought about buying her food, she was shocked that they had actually set aside a room for her.Harry frowned “Hey, we may feed from humans, but we’re not monsters. We want you to have a good time with us.”Lya smiled slowly, chuckling a bit “I don’t think you’re monsters.” Before the curly haired vampire could ask her why she had been shocked, she turned to the other vampire “I would actually love to see my room if you don’t mind.”Zayn looked like he also wanted to ask her to elaborate on the why of her shock, but he nodded instead, putting a hand on the low of her back and gently leading her to another set of stairs. “We have three floors downstairs. The one we are in has the kitchen, game room and living room. The one below us has all the rooms, ten on total.” He explained, chuckling when her eyes widened when he told her the number of rooms “We have people staying over from time to time, Louis is a big shot on our society and he would rather work on his own turf.”Lya nodded thoughtfully, vampires were quite territorial and liked to keep to their own houses, only leaving if they didn’t have a human to feed from. Louis had to be deeply respected by the other vampires if they were the ones leaving their homes to talk to him. She wasn’t sure, but he was most likely the vampire that had contacted the Blood Moon Society. He would be the only one with enough influence to keep so much information from being asked, which told her that he would be the one belonging to one of the higher casts.Zayn opened the fourth door on the right, letting her enter the room first. The brunette managed to keep her expression neutral, even though all she wanted was to gape at the beauty of the room. The walls were painted a soft blue, what contrasted with the dark, almost black tiles of the floor. A plush blue rug covered the ground underneath the queen sized bed, a blue comforter covered the mattress, different sized blue and black pillows leaned against the headboard. The vampire smiled “Do you like it?”“Yes.” She replied, walking even further into the room “It’s really lovely.”Lya left the suitcase leaning against the bottom of the bed, she sighed, wanting to feel the softness of the sheets and rest before she actually had to do her job, but the time was waning, Harry had been showing signs of the influence of the Blood Moon and she could see Zayn’s brown eyes slowly turning red, his fangs lengthening even more.Turning to him completely, she nodded at the exit “We should go, I have never had so much time to talk to the vampires I worked for, so I think we can set some ground rules.”“You never talked to any of the people you helped?” he asked surprised, Lya just chuckled and left the room, shaking her head lightly. She had never made it this far with the other clients. At twenty one, she was only on the field for three years, a newbie compared to most of the humans who decided to work for the society. Of course, her inexperience couldn’t all be blamed on her age, her mother was a big part of why she hadn’t started working normally at fifteen like most of the other members. Sofia Nightingale ran the organization that helped control the vampire population since Octavia Nightingale had died ten years prior.Sofia was a soft but strong woman, protective of the only child she was able to conceive. It was that need to protect Lya that had led the forty five years old woman to keep her daughter busy with training and desk work until she turned eighteen and had to choose between having to follow in her family’s footsteps or leaving the society forever.Lya had decided to stay and started to work on the field just a couple of months after her birthday. But not even Sofia could make sure the vampire's assigned to her daughter would be able to have a modicum of control, her first three cases had been to aid newbies, vampires less than one hundred years of age. Of course that meant that their control was more than lacking. She winced slightly at the memory of her first time, she had been expecting something completely different, something that explained why there was actually a Blood Moon society, maybe it would be enjoyable and worthwhile. All she got was torn clothes and a bloodied body, the vampire had shredded her dress and underwear before penetrating her with brutal force, his mouth attaching to the crook of her neck and biting down hard. She had cried and fought until her throat hurt and her movements felt sluggish from blood loss, but he only let her go when black was already threatening to overcome her vision. It had been the only day of that week that she had been conscious. Lya didn’t even know if she should or shouldn’t be thankful for that, but she was leaning towards thankful, especially when she had to spend two weeks on the hospital after her first appointment. Her last two clients hadn’t been much different, the brunette had been conscious the seven days of the Blood Moon, but it hadn’t mattered, they still took without regards to her wellbeing.Would her new clients be better? They had thought of going grocery shopping and they had prepared a separate room for her to sleep in. But she just didn’t know what she should feel about them, they were vampires and they could turn out to be as uncontrolled as her last clients. The kitchen was pretty ample for a group of beings that couldn’t eat normal food, a large table was the center of the room, while a fully equipped kitchen stood against one of the walls. If they actually could leave her some time alone, she would have a few decent meals during the week. There were only four vampires on the kitchen, a tall brown haired one and a blonde one where the only ones she didn’t know. Lya looked around, wondering where the last vampire was, the file had been about five of them, not just four.“You look young.” The blonde one pointed out, like Harry, his eyes had already bled completely red, his fangs poking out of his lips. But even with his blood lust in such a high state, he wasn’t even leaning to her direction.“I’m not that young.” She replied with a smile, hesitating a bit, but deciding to walk to the table, sitting down next to the other vampire that she didn’t know, his eyes were still somewhat brownish. “I’m twenty one.”“Just a babe for us.” He teased, winking at her, is fangs being completely displayed when he smiled.“Not my fault you’re old hags.”Zayn laughed “She got you, mate.”The blonde shrugged “And it was a pretty good one. Name’s Niall, lass. I think you’ve already met Harry and Zayn, so that only leaves Liam.”“Hey.” The vampire next to her smiled, Lya gave him a smile back, noticing that they were all expecting her to introduce herself too.The brunette said instead “I thought I would be serving five of you?” she turned to Zayn “Didn’t you mention that there was one of you called Louis? Where is he?” Harry sighed in annoyance “Don’t worry about Louis, you’ll meet him soon.”Niall patted his back “Chill down, mate.”“My name is Lya.” She told them, deciding to finally tell them what they probably had wanted to know for quite some time.Liam frowned slightly, his nose twitching lightly “I don’t want to be hastening you, love, but neither Harry nor Niall can last much longer without feeding. And I do think that you’ll like to feed them while they can control themselves fully.”“Yes, that would be for the best.” Lya nodded, smiling lightly at his deference for her comfort, it was a nice change of pace comparing to the other years. “I hope you’ll relay this to Louis?”Zayn nodded “Of course, I doubt he would have it any other way.” He chuckled and crossed his arms, looking at her “You can continue, love.”“Thanks.” She smiled before she went serious again, she needed to get her head back in the business, even if they were being nice and actually caring towards her, it didn’t matter. It would only be just a week, and she shouldn’t be even harboring the tiniest sliver of liking for them. It was a job, not a chance to get a boyfriend.Lya continued “Well, I don’t have much to ask. I just want to have a rest of two hours between feeding if two or three of you feed at the same time, it can be of just half an hour to one if it’s just one of you.”Niall and Liam frowned, clearly shocked by how little time she needed to recover. Wanting to get things over with, she continued “I have to get at least three hours of sleep per day or I won’t be able to have such a small rest period between feedings. I also need at least a meal a day to keep my strength.”“That won’t be a problem.” Harry told her, the other vampires nodding in agreement.Lya smiled, turning to Niall and Harry, she was going to tell them that they could feed if they wanted, but Zayn interrupted her “You know that our feeding has a heavy sexual under note, don’t you?”“I am quite aware, yes.” She answered, raising an eyebrow at his question.“And you don’t have any rules against it?”The brunette shrugged “They did everything to me the last three years, there isn’t anything you can do to me that hasn’t been done.” Her tone was nonchalant, but the memories of the last three years still plagued her, still made her wonder if she had chosen the right path when she continued on the society instead of leading a normal life.“Were you a willing participant?” Liam asked, his eyes flaring red for a while before returning to a red-ish brown. She sighed and looked down, but showing people her weakness wasn’t part of her, so she straightened her back before she answered “I knew what I was getting into.” She hadn’t known, but they didn’t have to know that little detail.Harry growled lightly “Let me guess, newbies? They can’t fucking control themselves!”“Believe me, I know.” Lya muttered, getting up and straightening her clothes, not that they would be staying on her body for that long now. “Those are the only rules I have, do you have anything you want to tell me?”“No, not for now anyway. Louis will probably have, though, that boy can’t go without bossing everyone around.” Liam replied. The brunette just nodded and turned to who she thought were the youngest vampires.“Shall we?”Niall and Harry quickly got up, smiling at her “That would be lovely.” Harry said as Niall grabbed her hand quicker than she could notice, tugging her towards the end of the kitchen. Harry followed behind them as they walked downstairs, keeping an eye out as if she could be stolen from their hands at any minute. There was no doubt in her mind now that Louis was their leader, and most likely the oldest vampire of the house. Her curiosity got picked, Lya would love to know to which cast Louis belonged to. The brunette’s mother had talked about the highest casts all the time when she was little, it had been almost like a fairytale, one that could bite and kill, but a fairytale anyway. Lya had grown up hearing about the vampire culture, and when she connected to the Blood Moon Society, even when she was doing desk job, all she wanted was to know more about their culture. But even then, the knowledge about the higher casts was scarce, and the only facts she had, belonged between the pages of her mother’s handbook. If Louis was indeed from those casts, it meant that she would have a firsthand experience. And Lya had a feeling that she shouldn’t be as excited to know it.They got in the room right next to hers, it was decorated in the same manner, but the walls were painted in green, the covers of the bed instead of being black and blue, they were green and white. The room smelled manly, sandalwood, leather and mint, she bet it would be just likely one of the vampires currently looking at her. “How do you want to do it, love?” Harry asked, his eyes going from the bed to her “One at a time, or the two of us at the same time?”
